YPreparation is key, but here’s the thing: a photoshoot isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about amplifying your essence, the energy that makes you, you.
Whether you’re an artist, performer, or entrepreneur building your personal brand, these tips will help you show up confident, authentic, and ready to shine.
Step 1: Know your story (and your why)
Before we even start, think about:
– Who you are — what makes you unique?
– What part of your personality do you want the world to see? Which aspects of your brand or creative persona are non-negotiable?
– What you want to communicate — confidence, boldness, playfulness, authority?What story do you want these images to tell?
– Who your audience is — who are you trying to reach with these images?
When you get clear on your story, everything else — styling, posing, and energy — starts to fall into place naturally. I love seeing clients share mood boards, inspiration images, or even playlists — anything that helps me understand your vibe.
This way, every shot feels intentional, not staged.
First, I will send you a questionnaire to help you think on those questions and with this information, we will have a Creative Strategy Session to define the goal of the shoot and the mood boards.

All my photo shoots are a collaboration, and I will make sure you feel relaxed. The best photos happen when you relax and connect with your energy.

Step 4: During the Shoot
This is where we bring your essence to life:
I like to give freedom of movement to my subjects when they feel confident in their posing and I will come back and perfect poses that I might see as you move. You can also trust me to guide you into poses and moments that highlight your strength and personality.
Don’t be afraid to move, dance, or experiment — some of the most iconic images happen spontaneously.
I shoot tether so we will be able to see the images as we shoot and pick our favourites!
